- Healthcare management is the profession that provides leadership and direction to organizations that deliver personal health services.

In a larger sense, the elements of a health care system embrace the following:
- Personal health care services for individuals and families, available at hospitals, clinics, neighborhood centers, and similar agencies, in physicians’ offices, and in the clients’ own homes.
- The public health services needed to maintain a healthy environment, such as control of water and food supplies, regulation of drugs, and safety regulations intended to protect a given population.
- Teaching and research activities related to the prevention, detection, and treatment of disease.

- FS Ensures the health facility they are responsible for runs smoothly, giving the best possible provision for patients and good working conditions for the workforce. Potential to manage a GP’s surgery, primary care trust, hospital or health authority. A large proportion of the role will involve managing staff within the health facility and liaising with internal members of staff and external partners in order to deliver a good service to customers. FS can also manage budgets and obtain statistical information to plan projects and make strategic changes.
